Two years ago this week Amanda was told she needs to go see the multiple birth Dr. at Harrisburg. She was the last appointment of the day but the Dr. said it looks like her babies have Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS) what that means is 1 baby (BabyA) is getting all the nutrition from the mother & the other baby ( Baby B) gets what ever is left. He told her she needs to see a Dr. in Baltimore. The next day the nurse from Baltimore called & said the Dr. has an opening they’d like her to come ASAP. Unknown to her the Harrisburg Dr. called Baltimore & said they need to see her ASAP. So she called me & I went down to stay with Katelyn while they went to Baltimore. About 5 p.m. she called & was crying asking John what they should do. John asked her what the Drs. goal is by doing the surgery. His goal she said was to having 2 beating hearts when she came back to her room. John said “Amanda then you need to let them try if they are not asking you to pick 1 baby over the other.” So the Dr. did the surgery the day before Thanksgiving & she came back to her room with 2 little beating hearts though the Dr. said they babies were very sick & not out of the woods yet, He said everyday after surgery is in their best interest. By Mon. the ultra sound showed a big improvement in the babies. Today we are blessed to have the boys Benjamin & Brandon as our grandsons all because a Dr. in Harrisburg took notice to the fact that the babies looked like they were having problems! It was such a God timing ,in reality Amanda would have gone to the multiple birth Dr. in Lancaster but their schedule was to full & her regular OB/GYN said she needs to go to Harrisburg! Thank You Jesus! The Baltimore Dr. said those babies wouldn’t have lived more then 1-2 more days! God is so good! We re blessed. I still cry when I think about that Nov. day 2 years ago when Amanda called John & said “Dad what shall we do?” … Today we have the most precious grandsons any one ever had. They are healthy & active as only little boys can be and here they are! …
with their big sister.
Benjamin, Katelyn & Brandon.
We have so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. We’ll be spending the day with my brothers & sisters. We had our children home on Sun. for dinner & had so much fun playing in the leaves & just being together. The most fun was when they could totally cover someone up with leaves

Be blessed!
